Hi. I’m vedjen. And this is my blog.
I started blogging on Blogger in June of 2005 to keep friends and family in the know about our going-ons. Then I realized we didn’t have much going on - at all. Unfortunately, I had already developed this out-of-control egocentric compulsion to attach a .com to my name and so I NEEDED to buy my own domain.
(Imagine the future: vedjen.com t-shirts and ‘V’ shaped antenna balls. Can you see it?)
You are now here.
I have spent over 90% of my lifetime in school and subsequently will be paying for it up the ass for the remainder of my life. Depressing isn’t it? Thankfully, I got a job out of it that I love and it affords me great opportunities. But also stresses that have probably caused a small ulcer or two.
I am married to a man I affectionately call Bubba. We married in 2002 in a quaint, little ceremony on a pumpkin farm with a kilt-wearin’ bagpipe player and a cardboard cut-out Elvis. My dress is still stained with grass, mustard and beer - and I demand it stay that way. Forever. Class is just oozing from our pores.
Said job keeps Bubba and I apart for most of the week. (Who’s doesn’t?) The best part of my day is retiring to bed and hugging him goodnight. When he’s not pissing me off, anyways. Which, I admit, happens daily. (Oh! I am also moody. Did I mention that?)
Bubba and I have a cat, Isis, who takes HORRIBLE pictures. But she just learned how to piss in the toilet and that makes me ecstatic.
And because I couldn’t imaging cleaning the fur off my furniture if we were to have TWO cats, we are instead currently cooking our first non-fur baby, expected early December 2008.
I try to make regular posts, but cannot and will not guarantee a thing that you can use to make me feel bad. I have the right to use anything you post or email to me for my own pleasure . . . and, yes, I may laugh at your expense, but I promise it will be short and sweet and won’t hurt for long.
And, if after all of this, you still are not scared off and want to contact me please feel free to do so. But I warn you class may be contagious.
