Feeling restless (and, frankly, sick and tired of working on the house) I will be doing some design work on the website today. Please excuse the mess.

OK. Who do I need to talk to about this whole wordpress repeatedly losing my saved posts bullshit? This is two bloody days in a row and I am losing my patience. I KNOW I hit the save button. I KNOW I titled the draft so that I could find it quickly once I returned. I KNOW I did all that I was supposed to do. After all, I have done the same exact thing for THE LAST THREE YEARS.
Araraarrrrggggghh!?@?!!
[Isn't angry typing annoying?]
[More annoying that parenthetical commentary?]
Now? I am too riled up to continue on for fear that the longer I write the more will be at stake if I can not rely on the save function to back up my progress.
I am going to need a few to regain my trust.
Oh, the heartaches.
Thanks to the clever observations of the newest and bestest Marine Biologist to stem from these here parts, my recent wordpress upgrade to version 2.1 appears to have one teeny, tiny bug — assigning multiple categories to one post results in the post publishing to the loop the same amount of times as categories assigned.
Blah, errrra, yada, yayayayayay…
[YOU: I will self implode if I have to read anymore about computer bullshit]
[ME: Relax, I'm done. For now.]
Thankfully our Marine Biologist’s recent studies on identifying the stomach contents of microscopic translucent photosynthesizing amoeba* or as us normal people would refer to them “those itty, bitty slimy alien booger-like things that swim around but we can’t really see them so just don’t drink too much of that water or you might get sick, or something” has refined her Blogger’s Mistake radar** and most importantly, her ability to TYPE IN THE COMMENT BOX TO LET ME KNOW!
*They said it couldn’t be done, but in one post, I have exhausted all of the marine lingo retained from Kamamoto’s Marine Biology, ca. 1995.
**BloMiDar? BloDar?
And here I thought all I would just sit down for a quick second to write about just how tired I am this morning and somehow relate it to feeling like I had been plowed over by a semi-truck. But now, now, I’ve got issues to deal with. . .
I’m going to need more coffee. . .
MORE COFFEE!
edited 1.26.07, 11:01am to add: Seems I am not the only one having the issue of repeating blog posts. Apparently, the plugin that I use to display the “notes” in the sidetracked section (sideblog plugin, by katesgasis) was not exactly compatible with the newest version of wordpress (2.1) and was causing the conflicts. But before anyone starts rioting on the streets, the plugin has been updated and now works like a charm.
Now, back to your regular rantings. Minus any further computer talk.
For today, anyways.
